Carrier

Keep the number on your van.

Your number is on your vehicles, your invoices, your Google listing and eleven years of business cards. You are not changing it, and you should not have to. VoiceLi is a licensed carrier — we port your line and answer on it.

The distinction that matters

We are the phone company, not a middleman

Most AI receptionists are software sitting on top of somebody else’s telephony. They ask you to forward your calls to a number they rent — an extra hop, an extra company between you and your customers, and an extra thing to go wrong at nine on a Monday.

VoiceLi owns the carrier layer. Your number lives with us. When somebody dials it, they reach our network, and our network answers.

One company to call

When something is wrong with your phone, you call the company that runs your phone.

No forwarding hop

Fewer moving parts between somebody dialling and somebody answering.

We issue the numbers

Local in the area code you want, toll-free, and vanity.

Porting

Bringing your existing number over

STEP 01

Tell us the number

The number, your provider’s account details and a signed authorisation. A few minutes.

STEP 02

We file the port

We handle the paperwork. You do not call your carrier or negotiate with their retention team.

STEP 03

Your line keeps working

Nothing changes for your callers while the port is in progress. No dead air, no missed calls.

STEP 04

The number cuts over

Calls arrive at VoiceLi and your agent answers. You know the date in advance.

Honest about timing

Porting timelines are set by the carrier releasing the number, not by us. Most business lines complete in a handful of business days; some take longer, and we tell you which yours is when we file rather than after. If you need coverage sooner we give you a temporary number and forward it, so your agent is working from day one either way.

Or start fresh

A new number, live in thirty minutes

Second location, an after-hours line, a number for one campaign, or a business that does not have one yet — nothing to port, nothing to wait for.

01

Pick the number

Search by area code for a local number, take a toll-free, or find a vanity number customers remember.

02

Tell it about your business

What you do, your hours, services, prices, what counts as an emergency, when to fetch a human.

03

Go live

Thirty minutes from picking the number to answering real calls on it.

Thirty minutes is the normal case, not the record.

More than one

One number per job, if you want

Numbers are cheap, and they are the simplest analytics you will ever set up.

Every call on every number lands in the same place, tagged with which number it came in on.

Handover

When a human should answer, it gets out of the way

Some calls should reach a person, and the agent’s job is to recognise them. VoiceLi transfers to whoever you nominate — a mobile, a desk phone, an on-call rota, a different number by time of day — and hands over the context so your colleague is not starting from “sorry, can you repeat that?”

Questions

Asked and answered

Can I keep my existing business number?

Yes. We are a licensed carrier, so we port it rather than asking you to forward it. Your line keeps working throughout.

How long does porting take?

It is set by the carrier releasing the number, not by us. Most business lines take a few business days. We tell you the date when we file, and give you a temporary number in the meantime.

Will I miss calls while the port goes through?

No. Nothing changes for callers until the cutover date.

How fast can I get a brand-new number working?

About thirty minutes from choosing it to taking real calls on it.

Can I have more than one number?

Yes. Per campaign, per location, per department or per shift — each with its own behaviour, all reporting into one place.

What if I want to leave — can I take my number with me?

Yes. It is your number. We will not make it difficult, and we will not charge you to release it.

Can I keep using my current phone system as well?

Yes. VoiceLi can answer everything, or only what your team does not pick up, or only outside hours. You set the rule.

Does my current provider have to agree to release it?

Releasing a number is a regulated obligation, so yes. Check your contract for early-termination charges — those are between you and them.

Hear it answer before you move anything

You do not have to port a number to find out whether this works. Give us yours and the agent will call you on it.
